During my career as a music teacher I have taught many children, from ages 5-6 upwards. With safety an ever present concern of all parents, I am happy to do whatever I can to make both parents and younger students feel comfortable.

With any child I always ask that a parent be present for, at a minimum, the first few lessons. Most parents of younger students choose to stay for the duration and sit and read quietly; children's lessons only tend to be 30-40 minutes. It is down to both the parent and child when and if they are comfortable to have private lessons.

For those that wish to have some additional reassurance I am happy to provide references from parents of current students if required.
